Volunteer Code of Conduct

At Bodice Charity Foundation, we recognize that our volunteers are essential to achieving our mission of empowering vulnerable communities. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards and behaviors expected of all volunteers to ensure a safe, respectful, and effective environment for everyone involved.

1. General Conduct

Volunteers are expected to:

  • Uphold the values of Bodice Charity Foundation at all times.

  • Act with honesty, integrity, and accountability in all activities.

  • Treat all beneficiaries, staff, fellow volunteers, and community members with respect and dignity.

  • Avoid any behavior that could harm the reputation of the Foundation or cause distress to others.

  • Adhere to the instructions and guidance provided by staff or program coordinators.

2. Commitment & Responsibility

Volunteers must:

  • Fulfill the duties assigned to them and complete their shifts as scheduled.

  • Communicate promptly if they are unable to attend or continue a task.

  • Take responsibility for their own actions and seek help when uncertain.

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information or personal data of beneficiaries or the organization.

3. Professional Boundaries

Volunteers should:

  • Maintain appropriate boundaries with beneficiaries, particularly children, vulnerable adults, and families.

  • Avoid personal relationships that could impair professional judgment or objectivity.

  • Not offer money or personal gifts to beneficiaries without prior approval from the Foundation.

  • Not engage in religious or political promotion while volunteering.

4. Protection & Safety

Volunteers must:

  • Follow all safety procedures, child protection policies, and emergency protocols.

  • Immediately report any incidents, misconduct, abuse, or concerns involving a child, vulnerable adult, or fellow volunteer.

  • Never engage in or condone physical punishment, emotional abuse, discrimination, or exploitation of any kind.

  • Avoid being alone with a child or vulnerable person in an unsupervised setting.

5. Use of Foundation Resources

Volunteers agree to:

  • Use the Foundation’s equipment, funds, and property responsibly.

  • Not misuse any materials, resources, or information for personal gain or external purposes.

6. Representation

Volunteers must:

  • Represent Bodice Charity Foundation positively at all times.

  • Not make unauthorized commitments or statements on behalf of the organization.

  • Obtain permission before using the Foundation’s name, logo, or branding on personal content or social media.

7. Zero Tolerance for Misconduct

The Foundation will not tolerate:

  • Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or any form of abuse.

  • Theft, dishonesty, or substance abuse while volunteering.

  • Any act that compromises the safety or integrity of the Foundation and its beneficiaries.

Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in immediate dismissal from volunteer duties and, where necessary, legal action.

8. Acknowledgment

By volunteering with Bodice Charity Foundation, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. You acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted the terms outlined above.
